.22 Caliber Metallic Silhouette Pistol Match
Recommend arriving at the range no later than 10:45AM to register
for this match.
Match starts immediately following the Bullseye Match
Match Course of Fire: 40 rounds required to fire match
There will be four consecutive stages of fire.
COMPETITOR PROVIDES OWN AMMUNITION.
COST: Members and their guests, $2.00 per firearm. Visitors, $8.00 per firearm.
PARTICIPANTS: Participation will be limited to Club Members that are 21 years of age or older, and to those dependents of club members who are younger than 21 years of age but who are at least 7 years of age, who will be allowed to shoot only under the direct supervision of the club member responsible for their attendance / participation.
DISTANCES: 25 yds. ,50 yds., 75 yds., and 100 yds.
TARGETS :Black Steel Animal Silhouette Targets( Chickens ,Pigs, Turkeys and Rams)
FIREARMS: ..22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle Caliber pistols or Revolvers with metallic sights ( Limited Class) or with scopes, holographic, red dot, or Laser sights ( Unlimited Class)
EQUIPMENT: Eye and Ear protection REQUIRED. .
SAFETY RULES: All firearms must be empty with action/cylinder open and magazine out when they report to the range Captain at the shooting position. No ammo will be loaded into the pistol / revolver until the Range Officer so orders.
AMMUNITION: Supplied by the competitor. Any commercial brand of ammunition is allowed.
COACHING: Coaching is permitted.
MALFUNCTIONS: Malfunctions can be resolved under the supervision of the Range Officer, who will be with the shooter on the firing line. There is no specific time limit in which shots must be fired, other than what is reasonable, as determined by the Range Officer.
SCORING:
- The range officer will record hit and misses on the shooter’s score card as the shots are fired..
- A Score Card will be provided to each registrant at the time of registration, which will be handed to the Range Officer when the shooter is called to the firing position.
- Only those silhouettes which are completely knocked over will count as hits. A silhouette that is touched by the bullet but not knocked down will count as a miss.
- Silhouettes will be shot in order, from left to right. A silhouette, if other than the one supposed to be addressed, is knocked down by the shot, will not be counted as a hit.
- The Range Officer will retain the shooter’s score cards when the shooters have finished firing the 4 Stages ( Distances) of fire.
AWARDS: Recognition of Ist., 2nd., & 3rd. Places in each Class ( Limited and Unlimited).
COURSE OF FIRE
Self explanatory from the information contained above. Shooters will shoot” one at a time” and will shoot at all targets, at all 4 distances ( Stages) prior to leaving the shooting position.
